SUN Bulletin on JRE 1.5.0_06, for ViewCafé users

Are you using JRE 1.5.0_06? SUN reports the following problem:

For ViewCafé clients using JRE 1.5.0_ 06 without Java 3D installed

Symptom:
When you attempt to run the VC 4.0 demo from the www.spicer.com website - you will get this error message:

Note:
This problem will also incur with Viewcafe clients that are running JRE 1.5.0_06 in production Viewcafe environments.

Workaround:
Since this issue was introduced with JRE 1.5.0_06, we recommend using a JRE version prior to 1.5.0_06.

If you require JRE 1.5.0_06, the client can manually download and install the Java3D. We have posted the Java3D executable at:  www.spicer.com/downloads/java3d-1_3_1-windows-i586-opengl-rt.exe
