Spicer Enterprise Suite components
Spicer Annotate™View and annotate anything. Spicer Annotate is optimized for online business process and document workflow. Simple tools mimic real-world desktop items, such as highlighters and sticky notes, providing a familiar user experience which minimizes training and support. Annotations are color coded in layers and attached to a user or job function so they can be quickly and easily identified. Spicer Enterprise Suite excludes annotations when printing and publishing documents, keeping your internal commentary confidential.

Spicer Markup™Highlight information the way you want. Spicer Markup incorporates all the features of Spicer Annotate and adds a richer set of drawing tools for review intensive applications. Like Annotations, drawing objects are arranged by layer. Unlike annotations, the drawing objects are typically incorporated into printed versions of the document. Spicer Markup also provides a publish feature; publishing creates a new TIFF or PDF file for distribution.

Spicer Redact™Facilitate online review and discovery. Spicer Redact supports the entire redaction process for compliance applications, legal discovery, litigation support, or securing sensitive data online. To facilitate online review and discovery, Redact includes features from the Markup and Annotate products and adds redaction tools that are optimized for productivity and security. Redact regions, cross out “Do Not Distribute” statements, remove pages and use stamps. Use the built-in review tool to step through proposed redactions. Finally, burn in changes to create a safe TIFF or PDF document with no hidden metadata. Unlike other types of markup objects, the redaction default is to always display, print and appear in published documents — a key feature for correctness and security.

Spicer Freedom is an enhanced version of Spicer Redact, incorporating productivity tools for Freedom of Information applications to meet both Federal and State requirements. This redaction power tool lets you create complex redaction regions and align reason codes in the margins for professional results. At the integration level, statistical reporting of exemption codes and redacted areas simplifies management reporting and the creation of productivity dashboards. |

Secure ECM Integration
Spicer Enterprise Suite is easy to deploy, integrate, and support with your ECM solution. Integration is performed entirely on the server. Enterprise communicates directly with your web integration using standard HTTP functions to retrieve documents and markups, and check in markups or published documents.
The API works with Java or ASP.NET implementations (or even PHP, Python or Rails). It is a true API - no libraries or header files to compile or include - so upgrades are a snap. XML is leveraged everywhere in the API, configuration files and markup file format so you can customize the solution with tools and techniques you already understand.
Smart defaults provide the most common security settings and behaviors out of the box, minimizing the integration effort. Defaults favor highest security. Permission overrides for product features, printing, viewing, modifying markups, and even screen captures give you complete control over the solution.
