Spicer Imagenation® 8 Svp1 announces AutoCAD DWG 2007 support

New Imagenation 8 Svp1 streamlines view-markup-print processes, critical to AEC and Reprographics project lifecycles

Kitchener, ON. - August 9, 2006 – Reinforcing its commitment to provide exceptional universal viewing solutions, value and support for its customers, Spicer Corporation today announced the upcoming release of Imagenation® 8 Service Pack 1 with new AutoCAD DWG 2007 support. Spicer Imagenation helps Architects/Engineers/Construction (AEC), Reprographers and Printers efficiently access, scan, review, mark up, print, and archive hundreds of document types generated by a building project including technical drawings and models, legal contracts, purchase orders, RFIs, schedules, and more.

As a result of working with AEC and Reprographics communities, Spicer solutions streamline the costs and workflows associated with complex paper and digital file exchange processes between multi-departmental, vendor, customer and mobile project teams. Today, by supporting AutoCAD 2007 DWG and DWF, and other key industry formats required for design, viewing, and publishing, Imagenation provides broader collaboration between designer, builder and customer. Other benefits include a shortened time cycle required to implement design changes, extract intelligent file data such as object measurement properties for BOMs, and publish various digital print files for plans and project specs.

September 2006, Imagenation 8 Svp1 (Service Pack 1) containing AutoCAD DWG 2007 support will be available for download for existing Imagenation and Image a•X 8 customers under maintenance.

Imagenation and Image a•X customers without current maintenance contracts can purchase the update and annual maintenance by emailing maintenance@spicer.com and including your name, company, and product serial number.
